First, let me start by saying my trip trip to Pigeon Forge seemed like it might not happen at first. My mom got sick and had to get medicine and my sister started having horrible pain in her back and side. The doctor told her he thought she was passing a kidney stone. Lovely!!! We ended up going despite the set backs. The trip up there was alright until we hit Knoxville. It started raining like nobody's business and it took us forever to get to our room. We were originally going to go to Dollywood that afternoon and then go the next day since we could get in free. As it turned out we didn't go that afternoon. We decided on eating somewhere (TGI Fridays :) ) and going to the wax museum and a haunted house type thing where we sat in seats and shot things. It was pretty neat. We headed back to our room and settled in since the next morning we planned on heading to Dollywood. I have pretty bad insomnia but that night I actually slept pretty good so I thought I'd be ok for the long day ahead. which happened to also be my sisters birthday. WRONG. So anyways, after we got our tickets and are in the parking lot it starts raining. We sat in the car for a while trying to decide what we should do. I was fully prepared to take my hearing aid out and walk in the rain since I had been waiting forever for this day. Finally it seemed to be slacking off so we headed into the park and then the sun started coming out and the weather seemed perfect... We headed to the roller coaster Sarah (sister) had been telling us about, Mystery Mine. That ride tore me up! Now I have to tell ya I've ridden all kinds of roller coasters and never had a problem, of course none since my accident back in May. After I got off that ride my whole body just didn't feel right. Spare the details, but it wasn't fun. I only rode one more ride after that, The Barnstormer. I just couldn't shake the sick stomach and dizziness. They (my mom, sister, and her husband) wanted to ride the new ride The Eagle. I knew I wasn't going to ride it so I held all their stuff, while they were in line to ride the rain started again. Everyone was running for shelter. I just took my hearing aid out and got under a tree and waiting for them to get off the ride, lol. Of course as we were headed out of the park it cleared up and was fine the rest of the day. Since it was my sister's birthday we went back to the room and freshened up and went to eat at Golden Corral. We all got stuffed, lol. The next day we headed back home, back to reality...
